March 22 Nap

I don't ever take naps...so this was a surprise. And I dreamed!

I was in a dressing room, discussing my wardrobe for a show/filming. My make-up artist said that I would look like a completely different person after she was done with me, in French. (I don't wear make-up on a daily basis. I rarely wear it for formal occasions too.)

And that was it.

March 19-20, 2013.

I had a dream...that I semi-promptly forgot.

March 18-19, 2013

It seemed like I had different dreams, but they were just quick scene changes. Anyway, let's get into it.

Dad and I were going to meet Mom and my sister at Deer Lake in Burnaby. When we got there, it looked different: less gravel for the paths, more overgrown grass, and more hill-y. We eventually found them, closer to the lake, with our dog, Tori, trying to get her into the water. There was a bunker in one of the hills; we went inside to sit, cool down, and talk. Something was happening in the bunker though: men were coming out of nowhere, shouting, like we were at war. We decided to stand up and walk around the bunker, to see what else was inside the hill. While we were walking, the bunker changed into a ferry/cruise ship, the weirdest ship I ever saw. There was a cafeteria and dining tables on the top levels, the rooms/cabins were down in the lower levels. The cafeteria had everything, it looked like a Wonderful Buffet (the one in Bellingham, the only one I've ever been to) and an H-Mart/Asian supermarket mixed together. You could get stuff from the market through the cafe. Before I started exploring the cafe, my sister and I reserved a table for our family, on the top level, closest to the food. A waitress came up to us, saying that she'd keep an eye on the table for us. We thanked her and walked away. I started walking in between the aisles of the market, losing my sister somewhere (she probably walked off on her own adventure), and kept passing the liquid yogurt. (Asians, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. At least, I hope you do.) While I was walking, I noticed that the waitress was working all by herself; she was the only waitress on duty, and she wasn't that attractive. Another weird aspect: she was giving out bath/beach towels to the people dining, like they were their only napkins for the entire time. Anyway, at one point, I was wet, and naked. Don't ask me how because I don't remember. Maybe a lobster tank was involved, but I think I'm making that up. I didn't have a towel, but I wasn't self-conscious. I just covered my breasts and tried to find the closet the waitress went to for the towels. I did, semi-quickly, and dried and covered myself. Then, I went to find the rest of my family. I found my parents, on a lower level, and they said they were saving the table they were sitting at for the family. I told them that I had reserved a table also, and that it was closer to the food. They abandoned their table and started walking with me. All of a sudden, I saw Nat and his family walk into the room. We said hi and hung out together for a bit. At this point, the ship turned into a ferry, the Queen of Nanaimo to be exact, and we forgot about food. The ferry was nearing a berth, and someone in our group said we could wait a little longer to go back to our cars. I said they unload the cars almost right after docking so we should head down now. We were going down to the parking levels when we got lost in the parking lot...and I woke up.

March 17-18, 2013

I had two dreams...

  1. I don't remember this one at all, except that it was a dance/prom at a high school...Yup.
  2. I was at high school. I was in class when some Korean kids were tormenting non-Korean students. The me-self in the dream didn't know, but those Korean kids eventually killed the non-Korean students. I stood up for the kid that was being tormented, and told them that I was half Chinese, half Korean. The girl in the group didn't believe me though because I could understand what she was saying in Korean. (She was speaking in Korean before this, and after I said what ethnicities I was.) The group left, and a man from church came to see what happened. One of the Korean boys pulled out a CD of his pocket, and said that he believed in God, but when the man asks him what's his favourite Christian song, the boy backs away and runs, muttering that he hadn't had a chance to listen to the CD yet. The man sat next to the bullied kid, I'm on the other side of him, and I listen. I start to cry when I hear the kid telling his story with their bullying. I wake up, dry sobbing, because of the dream. [The only thing I got out of that was that I really don't like Koreans...which is kinda true?]

March 16-17, 2013

I'm at Hope Bay.

I think I've told you guys about this place before, and it's been the setting of my dreams before...Or maybe I haven't. Anyway, I definitely mentioned it in one of my 50 facts post on my regular blog (paulajaey.blogspot.ca). And maybe later in the future, I'll go into more detail about the connection I have with the place on that blog, but right now, let's get back to the dream.

It was during one of the summer camps, and we all went on a hike, including myself, I was a cabin leader for the girls. When we got back to the camp, we found that dinner wasn't set up. Usually, the kitchen staff set up the tables with glasses and juice and/or water jugs, but there weren't any out. No one was in the kitchen either: no cook and no kitchen staff. Everyone just started to sit down at their cabin tables and talk. Then, for some reason, a few people started bringing out juice jugs from the kitchen, but that was it. Also, continuity error: where did the people come from?? Anyway, I looked around, frustrated, and put it upon myself to set up the tables. I filled up water jugs, bringing them to the tables, as well as plates and salad. I got even more angry because while I was doing this, campers and staff were calling out my name for stuff they needed. They, especially the staff, could've stood up and gotten the stuff themselves, but they didn't. While I was still putting things on tables, people were getting up to get food...and they came back to their tables with food. I was going back and forth from the kitchen, but didn't see any food on the sideboard, so this was confusing to me.
One more, probably insignificant detail for you but important for me, thing to say: the dish pit was set up different from how it actually is at camp. On one of the walls, where a whiteboard actually is, is where the "dirty dishes" counter and sprayer were. Then, the tap was right next to the disinfecting machine, when it should've been on the next wall.
The last thing I remember before waking up, was that one of the staff, Jordan, asked me for something when I dropped a plate of salad off at his table. I got mad and said I only had two hands, because I still had a jug of water and plates against my body to get to other tables. Bob and Sue, past director and cook, were sitting at his table, smiling at me.

So yeah, that was a strange one...Although I could see it happening.

March 13-14, 2013

We were in Arizona, my family and I, except that we all got there individually. There were also a bunch of my parents' Korean friends there too. We met at an ocean, or a lake, since Arizona doesn't touch the coast...Anyway, before you hit the sand of the beach, there's a grassy hill: this is where we were sitting. I decide to write my reply letter to my friend Tavneet while we're there. At this time, I'm apparently pen pal-ing it up with her: we send a blue pencil crayon tin back and forth with our letters. Inside the tin, there are a bunch of different writing utensils, as well as this liquid white out which is transparent. For some reason, I don't know what it is and I want to taste it to find out what it is. [Something you should know, I don't taste things, especially if I think they are toxic. I guess I don't care about my well-being in this dream.] I put the liquid in my mouth, and it's disgusting. I run to get the stuff out of my mouth, going towards the water of the beach. When I run down the grassy hill, it turns into a house, like my friend Carol's. Let's just say the house has a lot of floors, so lots of stairs. I end up in the bathroom in the basement, passing the room where my dad and a few other Koreans are talking. I rinse my mouth and then go back upstairs to where my sister is. But then I have to go back down to the bathroom because the taste comes back. I don't know why I have to keep going to that specific bathroom, but I do. I go about 5 times or so, and my dad and everyone else is joking that I have bowel issues. Also, I should note that while I'm going up and down the stairs, I'm holding a sandwich plastic bag full of water, to eventually drink. [I don't know why I don't use that water when I'm upstairs, just spit out of a window or something.] I'm in the bathroom spitting into the sink for the however many times it is when I wake up, with spit on my cheek.

Yay. I love it when bodily fluids are out of me when I wake up...And that sounds weird. Bye for now!

March 8-9, 2013...Or Other Date

I don't remember the context. At all. I dreamed it a while ago. But my sister and I were together and we were debating on the importance of canned food for something...probably giving it to a food bank. Which is obviously important.

That's it.

Disappointment all around. I haven't been having dreams, says the girl who has a dream blog.
